God’s not looking for the strongest.

EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on :
Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Sam 16:7).
GOD’S NOT LOOKING FOR THE STRONGEST
When the Lord looks for someone to use, He doesn’t scan the room for the most talented, the most confident, or the strongest person.
That’s how the world chooses. But the Lord? He looks at the heart.
Remember when Samuel went to Jesse’s house to anoint the next king? One by one, Jesse paraded his strong and impressive sons before Samuel. But the Lord was not impressed.
But the one God chose? Not the oldest. Not the tallest. Not the warrior. It was the youngest and most unlikely—the shepherd boy out in the fields.
When everyone else saw just a shepherd boy, God saw a king.
The apostle Paul put it so beautifully: “Not many wise, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise… so that no flesh should glory in His presence” (1 Cor. 1:26–29).
That’s the whole point. The Lord deliberately chooses the ones the world overlooks, the unlikely ones, the ones who feel weak and unqualified, so that no one can boast and say, “It was my smarts, my ability, my strength.”
You see this pattern of how God chooses all through Scripture.
Fishermen to become His apostles to preach the gospel.
A persecutor of the church to become the apostle of grace.
Why does God do this? Because those who think they’re strong don’t feel they need Him. But those who know they can’t—they’re the ones who become candidates for His undeserved favor and grace.
The Bible says, “A faithful man will abound with blessings.” Pro 28:20
So today, if you feel inadequate, if you feel like you don’t measure up or don’t have what it takes—be encouraged. You are exactly the kind of person God loves to use.
You don’t need to be the strongest. You just need to acknowledge that He is in you.
When you do, His grace will shine through you in ways that will surprise even you… and He will get all the glory.
Jesus’ beloved!
AMEN et AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
