EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD 24/7

                    AND

    BENEFICIARY OF HIS UNMERITED FAVOR

God’s grace is God’s blessing that you do not deserve. When God answers you in your most unworthy moment, that is grace. That is His incredible and undeserved favor! At your lowest point, in your darkest hour, His light shines for you, and you become the center of His undeserved favor. And you, in turn, cannot help but extend that grace to others.

My friend, in ourselves, we deserve nothing good. But because we are in Christ and in His righteousness, God will not withhold any blessing from our lives today. Our role is not to struggle in our own works and be independent of God, but to focus on receiving all that He has made available to us in Christ each day.

The more you are aware that you are righteous before God 24/7, the more you will experience His undeserved favor. When the voice of condemnation comes to remind you of all the disqualifications within you, that is the moment to assert your righteousness before God. This is the true battle of faith! The battle of faith is striving to believe that you are justified by faith and not by works.

Paul, speaking of his own accomplishments under the law, said that he considered them all “as rubbish, so that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith” (Philippians 3:8-9).

Therefore, there are clearly two types of righteousness in the Bible:

(1) A righteousness that comes from your obedience and from trying to earn your way to it.

(2) A righteousness that comes from faith in Jesus Christ.

Only one of these has a solid and unshakeable foundation. One is built on you and your ability to keep the law, while the other is built on the Rock of all ages: Jesus Christ. One might give you the confidence occasionally to ask for God's favor, depending on how you perceive your actions. The other gives you constant confidence to access His undeserved favor, even when you feel you don't deserve it at all.

Choose to depend on your righteous position before God in Jesus Christ every day and move forward!

Jesus’ beloved !
