You are the prodigal child
EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want. But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger! But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:”
Luke 15:14, 17, 22 ASV
YOU ARE THAT PRODIGAL CHILD
I love reading the parables of the Lord Jesus because they express the heart of our Heavenly Father, which He came to reveal to us.
In this exhortation, I will show you God's unconditional love for you.
The Father represents God, and the young son is you and me (girl or boy). From the moment of your birth, everything was set up for your well-being. But since this world is corrupted by Satan, who knows that the contract Adam gave him is coming to an end, he is redoubling his efforts to turn you away from God's love for you, even though you go to church and even do things in God's name within the church.
Today, you are doing everything you can to make ends meet, but alas!
Let's go back to this young man or woman! After consuming everything, he realizes the misery around him and finds a job tending pigs, knowing that Jews don't eat pigs. Sometimes he salivates at the food he gives the pigs, but he can't eat it himself! Then he remembers the abundance of his family home and decides to go work for his father. Meanwhile, the father, for his part, kept his eyes fixed on the road, hoping for his son's return.
The son had carefully prepared his speech to reconcile with his father, but to his great surprise, the father ordered him to be given a bath, new clothes, an unlimited debit card, and shoes. Note that according to Deuteronomy 21:18-21, the father should have called the elders to stone this rebellious child, but instead, he ran to his son, who was covered in old, smelly clothes, embraced him, and ordered a celebration for his child's return.
But the older son was outraged by his father's behavior toward his brother, and in his anger, he exposed everything he had been doing while at home! I could go on much longer on this subject, but I prefer to leave it to you. In this parable, let us observe the Father's attitude: “He set out to return to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20
Five very specific and significant actions of the Father toward His child. Today, beloved, do you recognize yourself in this parable?
Receive today this unconditional love of God in Jesus Christ and ask your Heavenly Father to open the eyes of your understanding by giving you the Spirit of revelation and wisdom regarding your identity in your daily life.
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
