Obedience not sacrifice

EXHORTATION according to the BOOK OF LIFE

Verse to meditate on:

_“And Samuel said, ‘Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and keeping his word than the fat of rams.’”_

*OBEDIENCE, NOT SACRIFICE*

Saul had been instructed to destroy the Amalekites, who were an obstacle to the people’s advancement toward their destiny. But Saul chose disobedience instead. He did not obey the Lord’s words. This cost him his throne (1 Samuel 15:2-23).

Beloved, do you want to be successful in your life as a Christian? Apply the Word of God. You received the life of Christ through verbal acceptance and not through sacrifice. For the Word of God is Spirit and life. It is based on the work accomplished by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You have become a child of God (John 1:12). Certainly, you will not go to hell, but the devil will do everything to make you experience hell in the world if you continue to live by your own efforts. God's Word is clear: "I am the vine, you are the branches. If anyone remains attached to me as I remain attached to him, he bears much fruit. Indeed, without me you can do nothing." (John 15:5 NKJV)

Be careful to recognize God's hand every day in all your actions and activities. If you do this, you will grow in your intimacy with Him. Likewise, you will succeed in all your ways, which are also His, for you are His workmanship: “For God made us, created us in Christ Jesus to live rich in good deeds. And God prepared these deeds for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 )
