EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.”
Galatians 4:4-5 ASV
A MATTER OF FAMILY!
When a child is adopted by a family, they lose their birth identity and take on the identity of their new family. This is what happens to you when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. And just as a newborn baby develops its lungs through crying, you too, to strengthen your faith, will have to face difficulties in one way or another (John 16:33).
The good news is that you live in victory. Therefore, you are able to resist those who want to steal from you or prevent you from experiencing the benefits of your salvation. Today's verse tells us that God redeemed us so that we might receive adoption as His children. To prevent us from abandoning ourselves, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, "Abba!"—that is, "Father!" (Galatians 4:6)
This same Spirit enabled Jesus to accomplish His mission of redemption. This same Spirit is therefore available to you, and you must activate it daily.
As soon as you wake up: Father, I thank You for redeeming me from the law and the powers of darkness through Your Son Jesus Christ. I receive from You the same Holy Spirit of Your Son into my heart so that I may manifest Your kingdom wherever I am today, in the name of Jesus. Thus you will be recognized as a child of God, light of the world, salt of the earth, and bearer of solutions.
