EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“so that He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He Himself took our infirmities [upon Himself] and carried away our diseases.” [Is 53:4]”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

🕊️🎻YOUR DAILY DUTY IS TO RECEIVE 🤺🎚️

You may know the verse Isaiah 53:4 which says, “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.” But notice how the author of the Gospel of Matthew quoted it in today's Scripture.

I love the word Himself because it is so personal and intimate.  Surely, it was He who took our sicknesses and infirmities. It wasn't an angel. Your health and well-being are important and precious to Him, so He Himself bore each of your illnesses and sufferings.

Take the time to meditate on the word Himself. Take the time to remember the One who suffered and died for you, the One who took your infirmities and bore your sufferings so that you wouldn't have to bear them. Jesus Himself did it because you are so precious.

Often, when you acknowledge Him and simply spend time in His presence, your fears and worries disappear. You will find that in His presence there is constant peace. There is healing. There is well-being and all kinds of provisions. And when you look for your symptoms or your situation, you will no longer find them. Why? Because you are in the presence of the Healer and the Redeemer! When God said to the children of Israel, “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26), He was presenting Himself as Jehovah Rapha. He wasn't saying, “I will give you healing” or “I will give you health.” He was saying, I AM your healing and I AM your health. When you touch Jesus, you touch healing. He doesn't give healing as if it were a thing. He gives Himself.

You don't have to seek healing, provision, and protection. When you have Jesus, you have everything you need. If there is an area of death in your body, the Lord says to you, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25). If the doctors have told you that you are going to die young, the Lord says to you, “I am your life and the length of your days” (Deuteronomy 30:20). If you have received a negative diagnosis and you are afraid, the Lord says to you, “Do not be afraid. I am your shield” (Genesis 15:1). If you are facing setback after setback and discouragement overwhelms you, the Lord declares to you, “I am your strength and the subject of your praise” (Exodus 15:2), He is your righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus’ beloved !
