You are the prodigal child
EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want. But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger! But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:”
Luke 15:14, 17, 22 ASV
*YOU ARE THE PRODIGAL CHILD*
I love reading the parables of the Lord Jesus because they express the heart of our Heavenly Father, which He came to reveal to us. In this exhortation, I want to show you the unconditional love of God our Father for you. Here, the Father represents God, and the young son represents you and me (girl or boy).
After squandering his inheritance, this young man (or woman) becomes aware of the poverty around him and finds a job tending pigs, knowing that Jews do not eat pork. Sometimes he would salivate over the food he gave the pigs, but he couldn't eat it!
Then he remembered the abundance of his family home and decided to go work for his father. The son had carefully prepared his speech to reconcile with his father, but to his great surprise, the father simply ordered that he be given a bath, new clothes, an unlimited debit card, and shoes, contrary to custom (Deuteronomy 21:18-21). The father organized a celebration for his child's return (Luke 15:20).
From the moment of your birth, everything was arranged for your well-being. But because this world is corrupted by Satan, today you struggle to make ends meet. Alas, Satan knows that the contract Adam gave him is coming to an end. So, he redoubles his efforts to turn you away from God's love for you. And this is true even if you go to church and do things in God's name there…
In this parable, let's observe the Father's attitude: “he sets out to go to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him.” Observe five very specific and significant actions of the Father toward His child. Today, beloved, do you see yourself in this parable? Now receive this unconditional love of God in Jesus and rest in His finished work daily.
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
