EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.”
Hebrews 11:24-26 NKJV
YOUR EFFORTS OR THE POWER OF GOD
Sometimes ministries crumble because of fear. The fear of missing the extraordinary opportunity often causes a serious fall. The word declares that the wisdom of God leads us to blessing (Proverbs 21:5). The fear of not succeeding can push you to act against your identity because the fear is of Satan.
God uses time and circumstances to allow you to grow in your faith in Him. Sometimes lust pushes you to favor your own plans rather than those of God.
Your own plans may work but later they will cost you dearly. And in His mercy God is waiting for you to place you in the destiny that His Son has paid for you.
Moses gives us a great example in the verse of the day. He was the adopted son of Pharaoh's daughter. He had everything as well as a privileged place. The treasures of Egypt were acquired by him. But he knew his identity so he chose to follow his call after failing to be the liberator by his own efforts (Exo 2: 11-14).
It is a matter of keeping your eyes fixed on the author and the consumer of your faith. The apostle Paul talks about running to the goal to win the prize. You must run this race and keep with you the shield of faith in all circumstances. This is how you can quench all the fiery darts of the enemy (Ephesians 6:16). This is how you will be victorious over the devil.
Jesus’ beloved !
