EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on :
“and Simon Peter answering said, ‘Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ and he having turned, said to Peter, ‘Get thee behind me, adversary! thou art a stumbling-block to me, for thou dost not mind the things of God, but the things of men.’”
Matthew 16:16, 23 YLT98
*WHO ARE YOU SUBJECT TO?"
Beloved, since the fall of man from the Garden of Eden, Adam lost the privileged relationship he had with God. He received the corrupt nature of satan. It is this nature that leads to the blindness of God's ways and pushes you to want to act according to your emotions or your reasoning.
What comes out of it? If you observe well, every time man has turned away from the ways of the Lord, it results in many errors, pain and several forms of anxiety and stress.
The Bible states: “There is a way that seems right before a man, And its latter end [are] ways of death.”Proverbs 14:12 On a daily basis, what paths do you take to achieve your ends? Is it the easy way because you tell yourself that no one sees you? Where is the way of God's wisdom?
In the passage of Matthew 16 we have a specific example. Peter received the revelation of the identity of Jesus. But faced with His death, he opposed the execution of the plan of salvation, that is, the death of Jesus. Make sure that what you say reveals who you are listening to.
