EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scriptures to ponder on :
“The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’”
Matthew 18:26-28 NKJV
*WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HEART IS VITAL*
The above verse highlights the link between the heart of man and the forgiveness that can inhabit everyone. In the life of faith, every time it has been about the heart, it is about transformation and renewal. Because the heart is the foundation from which every man/woman draws life or death.
Proverbs 4:23 instructs us by specifying to keep our heart because from it derives the sources of our life. The heart influences our thoughts, emotions and actions. It is therefore more than essential to preserve oneself from influences that could take you away from God. In Luke 6:45, the word declares that "the good man draws good things from the good treasure of his heart, and the one who is evil draws bad things from the evil [treasure of his heart]. Indeed, his mouth expresses what his heart is full of.”
In the verse of the day, the first man had a large debt to his master and the master in his compassion for him erased all his debt. After he received forgiveness, he in turn had no compassion for his brother who owed him very little money compared to his debt erased by his master. I know you have always known this story, but look at the behavior of the forgiven man; In his heart there is no compassion (the love that allows you to give without waiting for return) that's why he took his brother to prison.
Nowadays, prisons are not just physical but spiritual. Some produce the blindness to see the good things in our lives. Your miracle that you are waiting for is available. Let God transform your heart, be compassionate towards others and you will see the way forward.
Jesus’ beloved !
