EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
““He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, And the shout of a King is among them.”
Numbers 23:21 NKJV
👀 WHAT GOD DOES NOT SEE 👀
Learn to see what God sees. Look more closely at what God says in the verse above and pause for a moment. Was there iniquity in Israel? (When God used the word "Jacob" here, he was referring to all the children of Israel.) Was there a sin in Israel? Or was everyone in the camp perfect?
If you use the binoculars from the top of the mountain on the camp of Israel, it is not difficult to imagine that a wide variety of imperfections, sins, iniquities and wickedness were present throughout the camp. But the question is, did God see it?
Read again Numbers 23:21. Remark that God did not say that there was neither sin nor iniquity in His people. He simply said that HE had not seen it. Similarly, HE does not say that there is no sin in you. What God says is: "I don't see him.
Wait a minute, how can an inflexibly holy God not see sin in me?
My friend it is because those same holy eyes have seen all your sins punished in the body of Jesus Christ. Your sins were punished before you were born.
In the Israelite camp, even if there were iniquities, sins and wickedness, God saw none, because the blood of bulls and goats, which they offered every day to the Lord, covered the children of Israel. How much more true this is for you today, we who are washed forever by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, your Savior.
Under the old covenant, the Israelites benefited from temporary cover through animal sacrifices, but for you, the atonement and payment of all your sins by Jesus Christ is eternal. That is why God does not notice sin and iniquity in you and does not see evil in you. When God looks at you today, He sees you in His Son as a just son or daughter, forgiven, healed, favored, blessed, accepted and well-loved because of the cross of Jesus.
Now, do you see yourself as God sees you? Declare it on a daily basis!
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
