The purpose of Communion
EXHORTATION through to the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on :
“and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me. In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-25 ASV
*THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNION*
Do you want to remember what your Savior endured for you to be healthy? The Lord Jesus, when His mission of redemption of the human race came to an end, He took the time to introduce His flesh and blood as a remedy for all our diseases.
The word declares in Isaiah 53:4-5: “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 ASV
The foundation of Christianity is not only that Jesus died for the sins of the world, but that He was resurrected to prove that you are no longer under the condemnation of your sins. Jesus has already defeated death. Jesus himself has given us a reality of what will happen in the life of the Christian. I advise you to read John 6 and Leviticus 17: 11 in your Bible, given the depth of this exhortation and you will understand what you have as a Christian.
The last words of a dying man are of paramount importance. In the verses of the day, HE says: "do this [the bread and the cup] in remembrance of me". So receive the communion of Him! Believe in the manifestation of His life in you because you believe without having seen Him (John 20: 29).
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
