The power of fellowship
EXHORTATION though THE BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
I John 1:5-7 NKJV
*THE POWER OF FELLOWSHIP*🩸
Beloved, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, through His redemptive work, the fellowship you had lost with God has been restored. You are restored to your true identity, the one you lost through Adam's sin. Now you have His divine nature and character and an inheritance (Romans 5:17). Do you know that you now belong to God (Genesis 1:27)?
To help you walk in your new life, Jesus sent you the Holy Spirit. He is the one who helps you walk with authority and victory in this world. He is the one who reminds you that you are righteous before God through and through (John 16:7-15). However, don't forget that the whole world is still under the dominion of the evil one (1 John 5:19). Just as he did with Adam and Eve, he uses cunning to bring condemnation into your life (failure, doubt, stress, etc.) to make you believe that God has rejected you. 😅
Satan knows his days are numbered: the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ is near. So he uses every possible means and tricks to keep Christians ignorant of their true identity. But the Word of God reassures us: “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:1-2) 🙌
So what should we do? Beloved, remain in the light of your identity in Christ. If you have sinned, ask forgiveness from the person you have offended and ask forgiveness from God. Receive forgiveness by letting the blood of Jesus completely cleanse you. To preserve peace in your home, your office, your living space, be, for example, the first to ask for forgiveness. God will take care of the rest. ✨
