EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;”
Philippians 4:6 NKJV
THE POISON OF FAITH
When we read today's verse, we can see that it is an instruction the Lord gives us. God commands His people (you and me) not to worry. Why? Simply because worry is a "poison" for your faith and your body. Yet, there are Christians who can't help but worry all the time.
Beloved, I want you to understand this: worry is the opposite of faith. When you give in to worry, you open the door to all kinds of obstacles. When you worry, you close the door to the manifestation of the answer to your prayer because you doubt. And the Word declares that the one who doubts is like the waves of the sea, tossed and blown about by the wind (James 1:6).
The Apostle Paul, who endured all kinds of trials (imprisonment, drowning, etc.), urges us not to worry but to present our requests in prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). So, when you pray, let your heart be aware of what you know about the payment made by Christ Jesus. Let your words overflow in thanksgiving because He has provided for you all your needs (Ephesians 1:2-6).
His resurrection from the dead allows you to realize that you already have the victory. No more giving in to worry. You have victory over the devil and all his power. Be aware of your identity as a son/daughter of God, seated in the heavenly realms with Christ, above all rule and dominion (Ephesians 1:21-23).
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
