The Peace
EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
*THE INHERITANCE OF PEACE* 🫶🏽
PEACE. This is the most frequently used word in conversations within Christianity and also the greatest, the most important inheritance that the Lord Jesus left us. Unfortunately, the meaning of this word is often misunderstood. It is used to encompass all sorts of things. You see, peace is a profound trust in which you remain confident in God, knowing that He is able to deliver you from any situation.
Before His suffering, Jesus said to His disciples: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33 NKJV. When you understand that you are righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21), guilt leaves you, your heart is overwhelmed with perfect joy, and peace naturally fills your heart and conscience.
It is written: “ “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”
Colossians 3:15 NKJV. This peace within you is the same peace that the Lord Jesus had when He slept in the boat during the storm (Matthew 4:38-39). For fear and peace cannot dwell together. Never forget this: fear questions and panics, peace rests.
Peace is found in Him who overcame the world for you. Your peace is anchored in your understanding of the work He accomplished for you. So, to grow in this firmness and confidence, you must acknowledge and declare your identity daily:
He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
Take a moment and name at least three things you have received from His finished work for you...
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
