The glory of our heavenly Father
EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on :
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 AMPC
*YOUR LIFE GLORIFIES
YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER*
The life of a Christian is to glorify the Heavenly Father in all circumstances. When you receive Jesus and believe in His Name, you become a child of God (John 1:12-13), and God places His Spirit within you (Galatians 4:6-7). Through the power of the Holy Spirit, you learn to follow the example of Jesus Christ to lead a life rich in good works (Ephesians 2:10).
Notice that many exhaust themselves performing these actions (or works) through their own effort, but this brings them only fleeting joy. People celebrate them, but unfortunately, God is not glorified. Yet, the life of a Christian glorifies God through works. The radiance of your light is expressed through your words and actions.
The Lord Jesus Christ is our model, and all the works of His ministry have given glory to the Father (John 14:10). Therefore, resolve to glorify your Heavenly Father as the Lord Jesus Christ does. If you are not filled with the Holy Spirit, tell Him: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus. I receive Him and I believe in His Name, and according to Your word in Galatians 4:6-7, I receive Your Spirit from this moment on, in the name of Jesus!
Before getting out of bed in the morning, tell Him: Father, thank You for this new day filled with good deeds. I cannot accomplish them without You. I am filled with the Holy Spirit, and as He raised the body of Jesus from the dead, I release Him into my body from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet so that I may glorify You in everything I do this day, in the name of Jesus.
Note: Take the time to read the mentioned verses slowly.
Jesus’ beloved !
