EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder :
“When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.””
Luke 5:4-5 NKJV
🙋🏽♂️*_STOP LIMITING GOD_*🙋🏽♂️
The word of God is the power that created all things and when you submit to it you can never lack the provision of God who gives you what you need when you need it. Unfortunately, some children of God have an unstable life with many more lows than highs and by their words they permit this. They lack the revelation of God's love for them.
Let's go back to Peter’s attitude in the passage above. Peter had spent the whole night fishing without success. He had a long fishing experience. He surely came back tired or even devastated from all these unsuccessful efforts. According to what he knew, the fish could not be in the place that Jesus indicated because it was daytime and much more they worked all night without result. But because it was Jesus he threw the net.
The verses above show us how generous our heavenly Father is, in His love, and how bountiful His provision is available. When Peter obeyed by throwing a net, the result was extraordinary to the point where he asked for help. Are you in Peter’s situation, always acting by your efforts?
Beloved, don't limit yourself. In reality, when you limit yourself, you limit what God wants to do through you and for you. Don't rely on what you think. Believe what God says. Remember this in the face of adversity: "the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that the sheep may have life and have it in abundance" (John 10:10). Act according to the word of God and the Holy Spirit will do the rest!
