EXHORTATION through the Book of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

           LIVE YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

As you grow in the revelation of being righteous before God, I want to show you practical ways in which you can be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Believing rightly involves renewing your mind and uprooting the false beliefs that shape your thinking and behavior. That is why the Word of God says, “Do not conform to the patterns and customs of this world, but be transformed by the changing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

God wants to change your mindset by uprooting your thoughts from self-absorption to an awareness of your identity in Christ. Our human tendency is to focus on ourselves. We are prone to excessive self-reflection and are easily preoccupied with ourselves rather than with Jesus. Many of our greatest pains, struggles, failures, and miseries stem from being centered on “Me.” Often, we are consumed by thoughts such as, “Have I done enough?”, “What’s wrong with me?”, and “Why do I have so many weaknesses?” Unfortunately, when we become too preoccupied with ourselves, we become obsessed, oppressed, and inevitably depressed.

My friend, is your mind constantly filled with thoughts about your failures, how you've messed up, and how unworthy you are? This is symptomatic of someone who is clearly self-centered. Such thoughts lead you to develop an inferiority complex and live under a shadow of condemnation. Your mind becomes clouded by negativity and pessimism.

But self-absorption can also manifest at the other end of daily life as a superiority complex. There are people who think they are always better than others. They are painfully arrogant and believe their views and opinions are always right. Whether you feel superior or inferior, you are always focused on yourself, and in the end, this causes you much pain, misery, and sorrow.

Only in Christ will you experience true transformation and walk neither in pride nor in false humility. When you are occupied with Christ, the flesh within you becomes insignificant, and you will begin to unconsciously manifest all the beautiful characteristics and attributes of Jesus. The fruits of the Spirit will effortlessly flow through you. It's inevitable! You cannot experience His grace and not become holy, healed, and prosperous, just as you cannot touch water and not get wet.

Jesus’ beloved !
