Do the honorable thing
EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on
“Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.”
I Chronicles 4:9-10 NKJV
*** Pray like Jabez by DOING
the RIGHT THING 🎷🎺🎻
There once lived a boy named Pain (Bitterness). His mother named him that because she had given birth to him in great pain. Imagine that with a name like that, it is very likely that no one liked him and he was ridiculed by everyone.
Nevertheless, he firmly believed in the love of the God of Jacob, his great-grandfather. He therefore mustered the courage to ask the God of Israel for what has remained in the biblical chronicles to this day: "Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my territory." This is asking God for the power to prosper. He also asked that God's hand be with him so that he would be blessed in all that he did and be protected from evil. God not only granted Jabez's request, but He also considered Jabez more honorable than his brothers because he had the courage not to focus on his current situation but rather turned to Him.
Today, do the honorable thing—ask the Lord to increase and expand the favor, wisdom, abilities, and opportunities for growth that you currently have to a whole new level. Ask Him for divine wisdom to protect you from making rash decisions that lead to painful consequences. Beloved, you abide in Christ !
Jesus’ beloved !
