EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on
“¶Thus says the Lord, “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, Making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, And whose mind and heart turn away from the Lord. “For he will be like a shrub in the [parched] desert; And shall not see prosperity when it comes, But shall live in the rocky places of the wilderness, In an uninhabited salt land.”
Jeremiah 17:5-6 AMP
ABIDING IN GRACE BRINGS BLESSINGS*✨✨
One of the saddest things about a man/woman who only trusts in his/her personal strength and efforts is that he/she cannot see the good when it shows up. I have seen, over the years, people who do not trust the Lord for their marriage, their finances and other areas of "weakness". They are determined to trust their own efforts and tend to be rather arrogant and frustrated with the people around them.
Very often, when you observe them, you will realize that they cannot see the good things that are right under their nose. They do not appreciate their spouse, neglect their children and even when other blessings come to them, they are ephemeral. Why is that? Because people who trust in their own efforts do not have the ability to see and receive the blessings of the Lord. They only believe in the "good" that can result from their own efforts. You will also notice that these people do not very often say "thank you" to the people around them.
On the other hand, people who live under grace (the undeserved favor of God) are constantly grateful, praising the Lord and giving Him thanks. They are grateful and appreciate the people around them. When I was single, I asked the Lord for a family. But you know what? HE answered beyond my expectations and gave me Charmaine! I am truly grateful to the Lord for Charmaine and I know that this is His undeserved favor.
When I look at my children, I know I don't deserve them, and yet the Lord has given them to me. The Lord has blessed me with an extraordinary family. Know one thing: when you remain under grace, you can really enjoy the blessings that surround you because you know that they are not deserved. Look at your family, your friends and the other blessings that the Lord has given you today. See how HE has blessed you because HE loves you. And when you see them as blessings, they will enrich your life (Proverbs 10:22)
Ps: I thank the Lord for His undeserved favor every day in my life and for allowing my light to shine brighter and brighter in this world that grows darker daily. 🌹
