Today we’re sharing a testimony from our French editor in Paris, Cathy! How faith moved with her.
Some time ago, the Lord gave me my first true lesson in faith. I was able to understand that faith is the basic criterion if I want to see God at work in my life. While I was on a tourist trip, my little sister got very sick. All the symptoms did not seem good. So I prayed that this cup would move away from her and that the Lord would preserve her from death.
So I began to alternate moments of intense prayer and praise. I was not hungry I wanted nothing more than to understand. Then one day, the Holy Spirit put in my heart that I had to place my hands on her while she was in the height of pain. Don't we say that faith is to have the assurance of seeing what we hope for come true?
So I got up full of questions but I knew it had to be done. I hesitated, I called a pastor to ask her to pray in my place but unfortunately she was not available. I wondered what to do? Then the Holy Spirit moved me and I told my sister to start singing and praising and I put my hands on her. And there, nothing at all! I had doubt, I wondered who I thought I was that I could do the same thing as Jesus. 😅
After 20 minutes of prayer, declaration, the pain left her. It was a real lesson in faith. God did not honor the hope I had to see her heal. God honored her faith and mine that she was already healed by the stripes of Jesus. Hallelujah!!!
The Bible has a lot to teach us about faith. What we hear is the Word of God that gives life, that heals and sets us free. Get into the habit of meditating the word and when the Lord speaks to you and you receive the conviction to do something, act without delay!
