YOUR BENEFITS IN THE NEW COVENANT

I cannot insist enough on the vital importance for a Christian today to know that he is under the new covenant of the undeserved favor of God and no longer under the law. Many good, well-intentioned and sincere Christians today are defeated by their lack of knowledge of the new covenant and all the benefits that Jesus paid for them on the cross.

David who was a prophet and king had prophesied the future of the Christian: “Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;”Psalm‬ ‭103‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved, it is the heart of God. He wants you to remember all the benefits that Jesus paid for with His blood! It is His heart to see you live from every advantage, every blessing and every favor of His share in the new alliance.

The forgiveness of sins is yours. Health is yours. Divine protection is yours. The favor is yours. The good things and the renewal of youth are yours!

They are all precious gifts of the Lord for you, and it gives Him immense joy when He sees you enjoy these gifts and succeed in life. But it is the lack of knowledge of what Jesus accomplished on the cross that deprives many Christians of enjoying these free benefits.

What you need today is not more laws, more of your personal efforts. What you need is a greater revelation and appreciation of Jesus and all that HE has done for you! In Hosea 4:6, God laments: "My people are destroyed by lack of knowledge.... ”

Do not be counted among these Christians who live in darkness. Instead, grow in the knowledge of Jesus, His person, His love and His completed work. And this is called growing in your identity!

Stop allowing satan to keep you busy with distractions!
