EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on
“But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, I believed, and therefore did I speak; we also believe, and therefore also we speak;”
2 Corinthians 4:13 ASV
*YOU HAVE THE WORD THAT TRIUMPHS* 🗣️✨
Have you ever asked a relative or friend how they are and received this response: “Uh-huh, I’m okay. My back hurts, but I’m fine. My stomach hurts sometimes too. At the same time, I’m broke, I even pray, but nothing! It’s like God doesn’t hear me. Apart from that, I’m fine!” Why say such things? What is the purpose of these words? Is it to edify or exalt the problems in your life? The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), which means that your words have both spiritual and physical consequences. Does this mean that you, as a Christian, are unaware of this?
When you belong to the new covenant, curses certainly have no effect on you because you are covered in the blood of Jesus and have been uprooted from the kingdom of darkness and planted in the kingdom of light! But know that you can, through your own words, call down curses upon your life. God has given you the Word to bless your life, declare His promises, and invite the supernatural into your life. But instead, you spend your time describing the nature of the challenges in your life. “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see the manifestation of God?” (John 11:40)
So why, instead of addressing the mountain that stands in your life, do you only describe it: “I’m overwhelmed, I don’t know what to do, I’m scared…” Sometimes you pick up the phone and start listing your problems. To what end? Is this the path indicated by the Lord? Ask yourself if, at that moment, you are demonstrating faith? Why not reserve your mouth for speaking words that pave the way for blessings?
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your message of love that teaches me very profound spiritual truths. I renounce the words that have brought curses into my life. I know that there are people in my life who need to know your love, your healing, and your guidance. Teach me to use my mouth to bless and not to curse, for your glory, in the name of Jesus! Amen.
