EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on
“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as a custom of certain [is], but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day coming nigh.”
Hebrews 10:25 YLT98
*YOU HAVE YOUR PLACE IN THE CHURCH OF GOD*⛪
The question that should be asked: what is the Church in fact? The Church represents the meeting of two or three people to talk about God. The Church is not limited to a building or a religion. It is the members who are the living stones with Jesus as the cornerstone, the cornerstone (1 Peter 2:4); That is to say, the foundation on which the foundations are laid. If the cornerstone is removed, it is the whole building that will collapse.
I think we've all heard this person tell us "I'm a believer but not a practitioner". I'm not practicing because I don't go (anymore) to church. But I still believe in God. Having already lived it, I realized how difficult it is to live your faith when you are not in a community. And in reality, we end up not really believing anymore, by not practicing anymore. You become too lazy to read your Bible, your prayers have no power, etc.
Know that the church is not dedicated only to those who were wrongly described as "religious". The Church is for everyone. She has a place for your atheist friend. She has a place for your Muslim friend. She has a place for those rejected from society and even for your enemies. If you think you don't have a place, know that it's a lie from the enemy. God (and His Church) always keeps a place reserved for you. Note that Jesus went to the temple when He was only a young man. No matter your age, you have your place in the house of God.
So make Christ your base. To make Christ your foundation is to learn to listen to Him, to learn to obey. There is really something special when we praise and pray all together to one and the same God. Today, you may live your faith alone but you would like to go further in your relationship with God. So overcome the laziness of not going to church because you are tired, find a local church near you that suits you, take an interest in the community and find friends with whom you would like to pray.
