EXHORTATION  through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“And answering, Jesus saith to him, ‘What wilt thou I may do to thee?’ and the blind man said to him, ‘Rabboni, that I may see again;’”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭51‬ ‭YLT98‬‬

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE LORD JESUS?

We all know what it's like to go around in circles.  You pray to get out of a financial crisis, only to immediately be confronted with another crisis. You are cured of one disease, just to ne hit by another.

Of course, you do everything you can. You pray, you exercise your faith, but you always fall back into the same problems, over and over again or other problems. Why? Because, too often, you do not know what to ask for in prayer and above all you are ignorant of your identity, who you are and what you have in Christ.

Read Mark 10:46-53, The blind Bartimaeus was sitting on the side of the road, begging and he knew when the Son of David would come and when Jesus passed by. When he learned that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout: "Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me! Then he threw his coat, jumped up and came to Jesus. Jesus, speaking up, said to him: "What do you want me to do to you? "The blind man replied: "That I recover my sight. "And Jesus said to him: "Go, your faith has saved you. Immediately he regained his sight and followed Jesus on the way.

I would like you to take a moment to think. In the light of what the Bible says, how many needs did Bartimaeus have? Only one? No! He was not only blind; he was also a beggar. He certainly had a lot of problems and all were legitimate needs in his eyes. But what he really needed was to see. If he could regain his sight, everything else would be in order.

He was aware of it. When Jesus said to him: "Bartimaeus what do you want me to do to you? ", he knew exactly what to ask for and he received it.

Today in the New Testament, Jesus, through His death and resurrection qualified you to receive all blessings  from the Father (Ephesians 1:3). You just have to become aware of your identity in Christ and act accordingly. The question is: do you really know what to ask for?

Think about it, pray about it and allow the Lord Jesus to open your eyes so that you can see what your real need is. If you do, your prayers will take on a whole new power with immediate results. Thus, you will no longer waste your time going around in circles

Jesus’ beloved !
