What are you reinforcing?
EXHORTATION ACCORDING TO THE BOOK OF LIFE
Verses to meditate on:
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." — Ephesians 4:29-30 (NIV)
WHAT ARE YOU REINFORCING?
Beloved, you are created in the image of God, redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and made a child of God (Galatians 4:4-7). Wherever you go, the angels of the Lord are waiting for your words to act and manifest the glory of your Heavenly Father.
However, many do not live out this reality because they allow themselves to be influenced by their environment. They then wonder why they do not see success or victory in their lives. The verses for today remind us of an essential truth: our words must be a source of edification and grace.
Respond with grace: When someone upsets you, your role is not to reply with anger, but with a gentle word, for you are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.
Bring healing: The Bible says: "The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."(Proverbs 12:18 - NIV)
In today's world, both Christians and non-Christians face immense pressures. Yet you, as a child of God, are called to be the salt and the light, to bring peace and grace through your words.
Every word you speak carries weight: it can either fuel anger or fortify peace. The choice is yours. Remember that your words hold spiritual power: they can either grieve the Holy Spirit or allow Him to manifest the victory of Jesus in and around you.
So, beloved of the Lord Jesus, choose to reinforce peace, to speak with wisdom and grace, and to let the Holy Spirit work through you.
Jesus’ beloved !
