The Transforming Power of Grace
Verses to Meditate On
"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works." — Titus 2:11-14 (ESV) (Link: Bible.com)
1. The Fall and Spiritual Blindness
After Adam and Eve made the decision to cooperate with Satan, they became blind to the things of God, and their eyes were opened to the world and all its lusts.
“Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, ‘The two will become one flesh.’” — 1 Corinthians 6:16 (ESV)
2. God's Restoration Plan
To bring you back to Himself, God gave His Son to bring you back into the family (John 1:12-13) and immediately gave you the same Holy Spirit that enabled our Lord and Savior to accomplish His mission of redemption (Galatians 4:6).
This redemption includes:
Your complete healing.
All the blessings included in Deuteronomy 28.
Eternal life with Christ Jesus (John 17:3-4)
3. The Daily Work of Grace
The verses of the day speak to us about the work of grace—God's unmerited favor—in our daily lives: it teaches you that you are righteous before your Heavenly Father and leads you to pray according to your divine inheritance (Ephesians 1:3).
“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” — Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)
Know this: the Holy Spirit is in you to guarantee your victory!
4. Decision and Put into Practice
Make the decision today:
To no longer live according to your senses, but according to your divine inheritance.
To watch over what continually comes out of your mouth.
To be that good Samaritan (Luke 10:33).
Jesus’ beloved .
