THE POWER OF REPAIRING REMAINS IN YOU
Beloved, your entire being is made up of three parts: your spirit, your soul, and your body. Your spirit is the part that is in communion with the Spirit of God when you received salvation in Christ. You also received gifts from God at that time, including speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues. The verse above asks you to pray in the Spirit. But what does that mean?
God, in His love for you, has endowed you with the wonderful gift of speaking in tongues through the Holy Spirit to communicate directly with Him. When you accepted the Lord Jesus as your Savior, your spirit became one with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. Every time you speak in tongues, you allow your body and soul to align with the truth of God's word.
When you pray daily in tongues, you are being built up in Christ, and your body will be aligned because "He who speaks in a tongue builds himself up, but he who prophesies builds up the church. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my spirit is unfruitful. What shall I do then? I will pray in the Spirit, but I will also pray in my spirit; I will sing in the Spirit, but I will also sing in my spirit" (1 Corinthians 14:4, 14-15).
So learn to pray wisely. This means that you must meditate on the word related to your identity while you pray in tongues. In this way, you will silence your "human nature, which is opposed to God." And if you are sick, you release the Holy Spirit within you onto the affected part of your body.
If you have not yet experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I invite you to pray with me: Heavenly Father, because you have glorified Jesus, I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit!
Now, begin to thank Him for His faithfulness in baptizing you. (Luke 11:13)
