The Great Sacrifice #4

Beloved, it is written, “You shall no longer be called Abram, but Abraham, for I will make you a father of many nations.”

Genesis 17:5 .  This eternal event took place between a natural man and his God and friend. And throughout Abraham's life, God never once reproached him, but rather blessed him because their relationship was based on God's grace and not on Abraham's own efforts.

Because of the work accomplished by our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, you and I are beneficiaries of God's undeserved favor. “For death did indeed have its power through the trespass of the one man, but through the one man, Jesus Christ, we obtain many things: that all who receive God’s abundant grace and the gift of his saving work shall live and reign because of Christ.” Romans 5:17 

You are anointed to reign in life. “As for you, the Spirit whom you have received from Christ remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. For the Spirit teaches you about all things and teaches you the truth, not falsehood. Therefore do as he has taught you: remain in Christ.” 1 John 2:27

The Holy Spirit has been given to you to make you a champion. Unfortunately, ignorance of this truth keeps you in captivity.

You have the Holy Spirit within you, and you must take responsibility of submitting to Him!

Let us pray:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You because the Holy Spirit truly dwells within me; I thank You because, in Christ, I am neither empty, nor abandoned, nor powerless. Open the eyes of my heart so that I may understand how You created me. Teach me to live from the inside out, train my soul to submit to the authority of my renewed spirit, deliver me from a life guided solely by what I feel, what I see, and what I fear. May the Christ who dwells within me become more real to me than the pressure that surrounds me. I receive the light, I receive the understanding, I receive the grace to walk each day in communion with the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus! Amen.
