EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

_”The men of the king of Aram said to him, ‘Their god is a god of the hills; therefore they have prevailed against us. Let us fight them on the plains, and see if we are not stronger than them.’ The man of God approached and said to the king of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord: Because the Arameans have said, “The Lord (YHWH) is a god of the hills, and not a god of the valleys,” I will deliver all this great multitude into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord (YHWH).’_

1 Kings 20:23, 28 NKJV

*THE GOD OF THE VALLEYS* 🌋

In the darkest moments of our lives, we often feel that God is thousands of miles away. God is with us on the mountaintops, we think, but in the valleys, we think we are alone.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

In the verse above, the Syrian king is told that Syria's defeat was due to the fact that they had fought Israel on the hills and because the God of Israel was the God of the hills. So, if they fought the Israelites in the valleys, they would surely win. Of course, the misinformed Syrians lost again because God is also the God of the valleys!

My friend, there is nowhere you can go without being covered by God's mercy and grace. Whether you are healthy or terribly sick in the valley of the shadow of death, or in any other circumstance of life, HE is with you. HE will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

So don't loose hope. Simply acknowledge His presence with you in your situation, for the God of the valleys is your strength. He will uphold you with His right hand and deliver you from your enemies!

Simply acknowledge His presence with you every day:

Father, thank You for being with me every day. I trust You to defend me and deliver me from this condition because You love me!

Psalm: Declare Psalm 91 daily!

Jesus’ beloved.
