EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
1 Corinthians 11:25 ASV
TAKE YOUR PLACE IN THE NEW COVENANT
Beloved, in the Old Testament, the blood of animals covered sins and never made the sinner righteous. Thus, every year, the blood of animals had to be shed. “For by these sacrifices people are reminded of their sins year after year. For the blood of bulls and goats can never take away sins.” Hebrews 10:3-4
So, to resolve this issue, “For what the law was powerless to do because it was weak in the flesh, God sent his own Son in the form of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And he condemned sin in the flesh.” Romans 8:3
Today you are justified before God by the one sacrifice of the Son of God and you are qualified for the New Testament and all its benefits.
In today's verse, the Lord Jesus Christ, before His Passion, took communion with His disciples, the bread for His body which would pay for your healing, and His blood for the total remission of your sins and gives you access to receive the Holy Spirit to establish you in the new covenant, or testament. (Leviticus 17:11)
In the new covenant, you have become a new creation, better than Adam and all the prophets, judges, kings, and every other person of the Old Testament. “As it is written: ‘The first man Adam was made a living being,’ and the last Adam a life-giving spirit.” (1 Corinthians 15:45) Therefore, when the Lord Jesus spoke of the new covenant guaranteed by His blood, He was speaking of His life, which He gives as a ransom for us, His sheep. With these details in mind, when you take communion in remembrance of His sacrifice for you, here is the proper way:
You take the bread and; Father, I thank You for the Body and Blood of Jesus. Lord Jesus, I thank You for bearing my sins on the cross so that I die to sin and live unto righteousness. By Your stripes (You break the bread), I have been healed of… and you eat.
You do the same with the Blood: Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your Blood that You shed for the remission of my sins, You make me righteous before God and grant me access to all the blessings of the new covenant.
Become aware of this reality:
I am an heir of the new covenant. The blessing of Abraham is acquired for me through Jesus Christ. The gates of heaven are my rightful inheritance. The evil one has no power over my financial situation. I live in the abundance of a God whose very nature is abundance. Lack is not my portion. Sufficiency is not my limit. I am anchored in a covenant, and that covenant means more than necessary.
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
