EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“and he was reasoning within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where I shall gather together my fruits? and he said, This I will do, I will take down my storehouses, and greater ones I will build, and I will gather together there all my products and my good things,”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭YLT98‬‬

*STOP REASONING IN YOURSELF JUST BELIEVE *

The passage above shows us that since the fall of man in the garden, he likes to control things around him. Man (understand here as a being and not as a male sex) likes to be stable in his finances, man likes to control the arrival of events in his life and even in nature. He likes to say when he wants it to rain or see if the weather is nice. It speaks to you, doesn't it? Man therefore likes to think, reason and plan.

In fact, man does not like someone who controls his life. Not even God. How many times have you postponed a maternity visit to give birth by telling yourself that it's not the time yet? How many times have you refused a job offer on the pretext that it is not yet the right time? In this desire for control, people even plan their death by taking care of the formalities decades before the time. They even take out insurance for all kinds of things that could occur in their lives. The more he seems to be in control, the happier the man seems.

Don't you feel in control when your tire is flat and you're proud to take out a spare wheel in front of your wife? The concern is that unplanned situations happen, circumstances that you have not foreseen, that can make you crazy. Anyone would be destitute in the face of a tsunami or a flood, wouldn't they? Not to mention the days when you feel like nothing is going as you planned.

I suggest you invite Jesus into the boat of your life every day and learn to give Him control and enjoy His grace. Not only on the things you think you control but also on your destiny that was decided by Him, in Him and for Him. It is the way, the truth and the life. And only He really knows what awaits you every day. Abandon your desire for control at His feet and receive His grace in which you have the benefit of His peace and His joy and His protection in all circumstances.
