EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE

Scripture to ponder on

“AND THE Lord said to Noah, Come with all your household into the ark, for I have seen you to be righteous (upright and in right standing) before Me in this generation. [Ps. 27:5; 33:18, 19; II Pet. 2:9.]”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

   SAFE IN THE ARK (CHRIST)

Do you remember how safe Noah was in the ark when the flood waters came? Even though Noah wasn’t perfect, God considered him righteous because of his faith in God (Hebrews 11:7).

When the flood came, everyone outside the ark died, but Noah and his family were protected and saved. Why? Because they were in the ark, which is a type of Christ today and is our salvation (Acts 4:12).

The ark didn't have windows on the sides, only on the roof. The truth here is that God doesn't want you to focus on all the darkness, terror, and evil that surrounds you and the world. He wants you to lift your eyes and know that His Son is coming back for you, His beloved.

I want you to see something else: I believe there were times when Noah could have lost his balance and fallen when the storm waters crashed against the ark. But Noah fell into the ark; he never fell out of it.

In your case as a Christian today, when the devil tempts you and you fall, you don't lose your position in Christ; you are still in Christ. In the book of Proverbs, it says, “For though a righteous person falls seven times, they rise again” (Prov. 24:16).

You see, a Christian doesn't fall from their righteous position and doesn't fall out of it. Our righteousness today is a gift from our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:17). This means that even if we have failed, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ (1 John 1:9). We are still in Christ, our Ark, and we do not lose the blessings that His redemption freely gave us. Now, in case you were wondering, does this make someone want to live contrary to the truth? Certainly not! I believe that knowing you are righteous in Christ makes you live responsibly and honorably toward the Lord (Rom. 6:10-14). The revelation of your righteousness in Christ (your life is hidden in Christ: Colossians 3:3) produces a righteous life (Titus 2:11-12). So align your words with your identity and see the difference in your life.

Jesus’ beloved !
