EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on :

“Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.””

‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    RIGHTEOUSNESS IMPUTED NOT SIN

🏆Beloved you are that blessed man or woman today because all your sins are forgiven in Christ. God does not count your sins against you. Instead, HE considers you righteous in Christ. That is why you are the blessed man to whom the Lord does not impute sin!

What happens to such a man? Let's look at Jacob's story to find out.

The Bible tells how Jacob had deceived his father and deceived his older brother Esau of his blessing of the firstborn (see Genesis 27: 1–41). Yet, despite his sin of deception, God chose to speak to Jacob. And no, God did not say to this cheater: "You terrible sinner! How can you deceive your own father? You are cursed!

No, to deceptive Jacob, God said: "I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you are lying, I will give you, to you and your descendants... Behold, I am with you and I will keep you wherever you go and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have told you" (Genesis 28: 13-15). This is a man to whom God has not imputed sin!

God did not reprimand Jacob at all. Instead, we hear Him say to Jacob: "I will give you... I am with you... I will keep you... I will bring you back... I will not leave you..." Jacob certainly did not deserve these blessings. He is a man who walked in the truth of Romans 4: 8 - "Happy is the man to whom the Lord does not impute sin"! Now, I do not encourage you to sin, but I want you to see God's love and grace for you.

If Jacob was so blessed, how much more you and I today, who are under the new covenant of grace and righteousness of God established by the blood of Jesus. How much more is our blessing because Jesus removed all our sins on the cross and made you right before God 🏆

Beloved, because of the completed work of Jesus, God does not impute sin on you. What He charges you is righteousness outside of works (see Romans 4: 6 and 2 Corinthians 5: 21 ) And because you are just, prepare yourself to receive His blessings (see Proverbs 10: 6)! 🏆

🏆Now with this truth concentrate on declaring your identity in good and bad circumstances . 🕊️

Jesus’ beloved !
