RECRUITER FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD

In today's verse, a mission order is given to you by our Lord Jesus. This is the mission we call the Great Commission. Note that the Lord sends out on missions with caution. Like any good king, this mission is accompanied by a seal. He specifies what the mission will consist of and, above all, how those who have been sent will be recognized.

In Mark 16:17-18, it is written: “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents with their hands; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Who are those who have believed? They are the children of light. What are the signs that bear the seal of the king? Freeing captives (casting out demons), speaking in new tongues (especially speaking in tongues), being irrepressible (so that they cannot be overcome), and the laying on of hands to impart healing (through the Holy Spirit).

In Luke 16:8, God's Word says that "the master commended the unfaithful steward because he had acted prudently. So then, the children of this world are more prudent in their generation than the children of light." Your Savior dwells within you 24/7. He works for your future like this steward. He makes His power available to others so that it may be manifested through you by your actions and words.

Beloved, you have a duty to advance the kingdom of God through your works, your actions, and your words. What are you doing?
