EXHORTATION according to the BOOK of LIFE

Verse to meditate on:

_“Then he appointed singers, with the consent of the people, who, arrayed in sacred robes, marched before the army, to sing praises to the Lord, saying, ‘Praise the Lord, for his mercy endures forever!’”_

2 Chronicles 20:21 NKJV

*PRAISE, YOUR SECRET WEAPON*

Praising God is precious in His eyes. The Bible speaks of a “sweet-smelling aroma” that invites God to turn on our behalf. You have a beautiful example in 2 Chronicles 20. The Bible tells us that the enemy army was so large that the children of Israel didn’t know what to do. They began to fast and pray until they received a word from the Lord: "Do not be afraid or dismayed by this great multitude, for the battle will not be yours, but God's."

Do you know what the Israelites did in response to this word? They gathered a praise team, composed of singers and musicians, and brought them out to march before the army! When they began to praise God, the Lord set an ambush for those who had come against Judah. And they were defeated (verse 22).

Note that not a single Israelite was killed. However, none of their enemies escaped. As for the spoils, they found so much livestock, merchandise, clothing, and precious objects that it took them three days to bring them all home and probably just as long to divide them among themselves. Now that's a victory! And it all began with praise.

This kind of victory is still available to you today. After all, in one way or another, you are in the same situation as those Israelites: an enemy army rises up against you. But Jesus has already defeated it for you, and you don't need fasting to activate victory. Are you looking for this kind of victory? Then stand up and worship your God: "Glory to You Lord for Your love for me! Father, I thank You for delivering me from the kingdom of darkness and transplanting me into the kingdom of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ, in whom I have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of my sins!" (As David says.) The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked come against me to take me as their prey, it is they, my persecutors and my enemies, who stumble and fall. Psalm 27:1-2.

Praise Him with your heart because Jesus has already won this battle for you on resurrection morning.

Don't be afraid. All you have to do is trust Him and begin to praise Him. Raise your praises to the Father based on the finished work of Jesus. Declare God's love for you in the face of attacks and in the presence of the enemy. When the enemy hears them, he will understand that he has no chance against you!

Jesus beloved
