No more excuses

NO MORE EXCUSES? 🫶🏽

I have always admired the way the Lord calls people to His service. In the Old Testament, for example, we see the Lord's response to Moses after Moses, filled with fear, haunted by his past and the power of the king of Egypt, found all sorts of excuses not to accept the mission. The Lord answered him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Am I not the Lord?” (Exodus 4:11 NKJV).

In today’s verse, we observe that Jeremiah also found excuses to refuse the mission the Lord had assigned him. The Lord answered him thus: “And you, gird up your loins, and arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before them, lest I make you dismay before them.” (Jeremiah 1:17 NKJV).

Beloved, the world today needs the gospel more than ever. In fact, there are people who are ready and willing to hear and respond to the gospel message, the hope that Jesus brings to every person. But Jesus also said that the workers are few. As a Christian, you have received the free gift of eternal life, and your mission is to share this message of love with others. However, many Christians keep their faith to themselves.

You too have received a mission from the Great Commission. That of being an ambassador of the kingdom of God. This means working to implement the kingdom of God in the world. Just make the decision to start with those around you. Tell those you meet that God loves them, and the rest will follow. Let the One who wrote the letter of love manifest Himself in their lives through your mouth.
