EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE

Scriptures to ponder on :

“and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.””

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

         IN MEMORY OF THE PAYMENT

The rest of this text states: “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:26. It is important to carry out the testamentary instructions of a loved one who has gone to heaven, knowing that they no longer need worldly possessions. However, their family does need them to ensure the continuation of the family line.

This is what the Lord Jesus did by instructing us on the necessity of eating His flesh and drinking His blood in the Gospels and through the Apostle Paul in today's reading. Two very important points are made: we eat His flesh for our healing and we drink His blood for the forgiveness of our sins and to receive His life.

Now, how can you be certain that He bore your illness? When you take the bread in your hand, break it and remember that Jesus' body was broken by the scourging so that you will no longer suffer from any illness and you will receive your healing. While you are doing this, don't focus on your suffering or pain, but rather see the body of Jesus bearing it and thank Him for your healing.

For the Word declares:

⚪“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

⚪“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

Note that in Isaiah's prophecy, the healing is in the present tense, whereas in 1 Peter, the healing is in the past tense because when Peter wrote, Jesus Christ had already returned to heaven.

The cup you drink represents the Blood of Jesus that He shed for the forgiveness of your sins. So raise the cup and thank Him for paying for your sins. In this way, you receive His life through His Blood that you drink. For the Word declares:

“And almost everything is purified with blood according to the law, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.” (John 6:56)

Beloved, have you noticed that you judged Jesus worthy to bear your condition. And to discern His Body and Blood, and you are simply a Christian who remembers the love of His Savior while awaiting His return?

Jesus’ beloved !
