Beloved, let us share something that will help you triumph over Satan’s accusations, whether they come from the mouths of others or from your own conscience.
In the Garden of Eden, after creating Adam and Eve, they lived in communion with God, like the father and his family.
Unfortunately, one day, Adam could no longer come to God. So the father wanted to know the reason for his beloved’s absence, just as when the parent who, returning home, calls his children. The Lord God called to the man and asked him, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9).
Because Adam had believed Satan’s lie, who promised he would be like God. But Adam was already like God (Genesis 1:26-27). Once they believed this lie, their eyes (Adam and Eve’s) were opened to realize they were naked. The fear of the light (for God is light) took hold of them, and they immediately fashioned something to cover their nakedness because they had lost all divine dignity.
Once they believed this lie, the divine nature within them, which gave them access to divine communion, was gone. By simply obeying him, Satan gave them his nature, which became their own (1 Corinthians 6:16). For Adam, the fear of death, which had been unknown to him, became a reality. He now had to survive by the sweat of his brow (Genesis 3:17; Romans 3:23).
Today, you have eternal life (John 17:3), God’s unmerited favor (Romans 5:17), and free access to God. Through the work accomplished by the Lamb of God (Hebrews 2:15), you have the nature of God that Adam lost. With this knowledge, you can face all of Satan’s attacks. By your identity, you are an heir of God (Galatians 4:7; Ephesians 1:3).
Come today and experience the fullness of your inheritance by meditating on both covenants to understand what is yours.
