EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on

“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

👀 THE RESULT OF HAVING YOUR EYES FIXED ON JESUS 👀

What is the value of having one's fixed on Jesus? How does it put money in your bank account and food on your table? How does this help your children in their studies? The Christians who have asked me these questions think they are pragmatic, but they do not realize that miracles occur when they keep their eyes on Jesus. Look what happened to a fisherman named Peter, who was one of Jesus' disciples, in Matthew 14:22-33. When his boat was in the middle of the lake, the most convenient thing for an experienced fisherman was to stay in the boat. By science we know that when you go down into the water, you sink!

But the greatest miracle that Peter experienced occurred one night when he got out of his boat in the middle of a storm on the command of Jesus. That night, the winds were violent, but as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he did the impossible: he walked on water. Jesus was walking on the water and when Peter looked at Jesus, he became like Jesus and did the supernatural. The Word of God declares that "all of us, with our faces uncovered, contemplating as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, we are transformed into the same image of glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord".

Beloved as Jesus is, so are you in this world(1 John 4:17). When you stay focused on Jesus, you are transformed into His image from glory to glory. You are transformed into the contemplating (by what comes out of your mouth), not by working. When you realize that Jesus is above the storms of your life, you will rise effortlessly above these storms. No personal effort could have helped Peter walk on the water. When he did, it happened simply because he was looking at Jesus.

You have just seen the power of contemplating Jesus. If you think it is not practical to simply contemplate Christ, I challenge you today to see that this is not the case. In fact, it's the most practical thing you can do. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will become more and more like Him - full of health, strength, wisdom and life!

Jesus’ beloved !
