EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE

Scripture to ponder on:

“And Moses said, I beseech You, show me Your glory.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

                        ✨ DISCOVER HIS MERCY

In your opinion, what best describes God? What characterizes Him the most? Some would say that it is His power, others His holiness. But the Lord's answer is quite different. You will find it in Exodus 33, when Moses asks God to show him His glory. Literally, the word "glory" translates as "Extent", alluding to the most significant, most remarkable, most imposing attribute of a person; it summarizes the value of that individual.

In fact, Moses wanted to say: "Lord, I want to see what is most important about You. I want to know the attribute that best characterizes you. "What was the Lord's answer? We can read it in Exodus 34:6-7: "The Lord passed before him, and cried out: The Lord, the Lord, God merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in goodness and faithfulness, who keeps His love for a thousand generations, who forgives iniquity, rebellion and sin."

Think about that. When Moses asked God to reveal to him the most important thing about Him, the Lord showed him His mercy. This means that if we want to imitate God (Ephesians 5:1), we must also focus on mercy. Mercy, kindness, forgiveness, compassion must permeate our behavior. So give priority to mercy and others will see the glory of God in you!

Jesus’ beloved !
