EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on
“and the people speak against God, and against Moses, ‘Why hast thou brought us up out of Egypt to die in a wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water, and our soul hath been weary of this light bread.’”
Numbers 21:5 YLT98
CHRISTIAN LIFE IS EXPRESSED THROUGH THE MOUTH
Beloved, the Word declares: “Do not let any corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building others up according to their needs, that it may give grace to those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29. In life, the words that come out of your mouth in the face of a situation define your victory, whether permanent or fleeting.
After the Exodus from Egypt, God tested His people: “Remember the whole way the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.” Deuteronomy 8:2
Today’s verse refers to the period when, after the victory over the Canaanites, they became impatient and began to grumble instead of reflecting on their past victories.
And their grumbling removed God’s protection from them, and they became prey to the serpents that were there day and night.
Beloved, you are alive because of the work accomplished by your Savior Jesus Christ, who obeyed His Father. You too, as a new creation, must imitate Jesus and not the world.
Individual Declaration of Your Identity
Father, I thank you for being with me; no weapon formed against me will prosper.
The Lord is my light (wisdom) and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and the righteousness of God has delivered me from death!
He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world!
I have died, and my life is hidden with Christ in God!
My God provides for all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
