EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder :
“‘The thief doth not come, except that he may steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly.”
John 10:10 YLT98
* BELIEVE IN THE LOVE OF GOD*
I want you to understand this clearly: there is an enemy who wants to destroy you. Our Lord Jesus said that Satan came to steal, kill and destroy. Satan is a murderer (John 8:44). Satan wants to steal your health, your youth and your joy. He wants to destroy all the dreams you have cherished and tear you away from the love of the people around you. He wants to kill you or keep you in poverty because he knows that there is a call and a goal in your life that only you can accomplish and he wants to find all the ways to suffocate you.
Know unequivocally that your heavenly Father loves you and that HE wants your good. HE does not want your life to be shortened by illness or to see you live in suffering. Every time you or your loved ones are victims of a theft, whether it is your health, your finances or your family relationships, God is never behind it. Man was created to enjoy all that God has provided, including health and happiness.
Our Lord Jesus said that HE came so that we "should have life, and that they may have it in abundance". When HE said that, HE was not simply referring to biological life. The Greek word used for life here is zoe, and it refers to the highest form of life, the life by which God lives. HE doesn't want you to just keep breathing. He came to give you a quality of life that God Himself possesses, a life that goes beyond ordinary human life and has the ability to maintain itself.
Can you see His heart for you? He wants you to live a long and satisfying life, full of His goodness, His fullness and His peace. It is His will for you.
Let's pray: Father, I'm sorry to have believed in the devil's lies, I believe in Your love for me and I receive it. Today I accept what my Lord Jesus Christ has done and I receive it by the power of Your Spirit in my life so that what He has done and put in place for me becomes evident through me and in me in the name of Jesus!
