EXHORTATION through the BOOK OF LIFE
Scripture to ponder on:
“Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, even so are we in this world.”
1 John 4:17 ASV
AS JESUS IS TODAY, SO YOU ARE!
It is wonderful to know that God does not measure or judge you based on your performance today. Instead, HE looks at Jesus, and as Jesus is, that is how HE sees you. His Word declares that “this is love made perfect among us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment; for as HE is, so are we in this world.”
As a Christian, you don't have to fear Judgment Day simply because all your sins were fully judged on the cross, and as Jesus is today, so are you! Notice that it doesn't say, "As Jesus was on earth, so are we in this world." That would have been quite astonishing, since during Jesus' earthly ministry, healing, blessings, and abundance followed Him everywhere He went. Yet, that's not what the Word says. What it says is "as Jesus is" (note the use of the present tense). In other words, just as He is right now, so are you in this world.
What a powerful revelation! Just consider where Jesus is today. The Bible tells us:
He [God] raised him [Jesus] from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and power and authority, and every name that is invoked, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is the body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:20–23)
Jesus is seated at the Father's right hand today, in a position of power and authority. If I were you, I would take some time to meditate on this passage because the Bible tells us that as Jesus is, so you are right now, in this world. Meditate on how Jesus is "far above all rule and power and authority, and every name that is invoked." During His ministry, Jesus commanded things into existence by His word. And the same is true for you. See for yourself in the Word of God. See how Jesus is, far above all principality and power, far above all sickness and physical or spiritual condition, far above all kinds of fear, depression, and addictions. And resolve to ask your Heavenly Father daily to enlighten the eyes of your understanding and guide you in your role as His ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20).
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
