EXHORTATION through the BOOK of LIFE
Scripture to ponder on :
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
II Corinthians 4:7 NKJV
🏺 ARE YOU GOD'S VASE?
David was declared a man according to the heart of God yet David could go from praise to despair as we read in the Psalms. However, we notice from a psalm where he seemed distraught, the more he spends time in the presence of God, the more his way of living and acting totally expressed God. David had understood that he was a vase and God was the one who had to shape him.
You too are a vase for God. But what kind of vase do you represent? Are you a vase intended to receive the honor and glory of God or are you a vile vase? Sometimes people think that God forgets them because they do not receive God. Sometimes they also feel unable to retain the presence of God in them. Are you one of those? Are you a vase contaminated by rejection, bitterness, lies, guilt and shame?
Being forgiven and saved is wonderful. But that is not the goal of the Christian. His goal is to walk with the Lord. And to do this, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Bible declares that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we do not belong to each other. We must therefore not allow ourselves to be "contaminated" by sin. For Jesus died for us to clear us of all sin, to make us clean, pure and just in order to live in us through the Spirit of God and teach us the will of God.
Have you noticed that all the vases have an opening? It's to be filled. God wants to fill you. He wants you to open up to Him. He wants you to gain access, through your mouth, to what you are supposed to have of your identity in Christ and not to what the world deposits in you. He wants you to appeal to Him through your mouth. Choose to reject everything that is not good in your vase and let God pour all his anointing into you.
Jesus’ beloved !
AMEN & AMEN 🙏🏾🙏🏾!!
